  • Define and govern the technical architecture for warehouse management processes including inbound/outbound logistics, slotting, labor management, yard management, and value-added services.
  • Drive integration design between SAP EWM and integration with other S/4HANA modules (MM, SD, PP, QM) ensuring data integrity and process continuity.
  • Establish and maintain technical design documents, functional specifications, and integration architecture diagrams for the full WM solution landscape.

E80 Group AMR & Automation Integration

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between SAP EWM and E80 Group Laser Natural Navigation (LNN) automated systems, including autonomous forklifts, pallet shuttles, and conveyor systems.

  • Configure and fine-tune E80 unit assignment logic, resource management, and task dispatching within the SAP EWM control framework.
  • Develop exception handling workflows for AMR faults, traffic management events, and manual intervention scenarios ensuring minimal operational disruption.
  • Collaborate with E80 integration engineers and robotics teams during commissioning, testing, and hypercare phases of AMR deployments.

Warehouse Control System (WCS) Integration

  • Architect and implement WCS integration with SAP EWM leveraging the Material Flow System (MFS) component, SCADA interfaces, and PLC/sorter communication layers.
  • Design integration patterns for conveyor management systems, sorters, put-to-light, goods-to-person systems, and automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS) communicating via SAP EWM MFS telegrams.
  • Perform technical configuration and customization within SAP EWM MFS workbench including conveyor sections, monitoring points, resources, and message interfaces.
  • Integrate third-party WCS platforms (e.g., Dematic iQ, Honeywell Intelligrated, Vanderlande VISION, Knapp) with SAP EWM via standard or custom adapters.

Technical Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead and mentor a team of SAP EWM functional and technical consultants, offshore resources, and developers.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle for WM workstream deliverables including requirements workshops, blueprint documentation, build, SIT, UAT, go-live, and hypercare support.
  • Define test strategies and oversee execution of integration test scenarios between SAP EWM, E80 FMS, WCS, and peripheral automation equipment.
  • Participate in steering committee meetings, providing status updates, risk assessments, and technical decision recommendations to project leadership.

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish SAP EWM monitoring frameworks including MFS workbench alerts, integration middleware dashboards, and warehouse KPI reporting.
  • Identify and implement performance optimizations for high-throughput warehouse operations including parallel processing, resource pooling, and queue management.
  • Support business process improvement initiatives translating operational requirements into SAP EWM configuration and development changes.
  • Develop runbooks, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials for support teams and end-users.
