Summary
The Sanitation Manager, reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, plays a key role in driving Chobani’s success by leading CIP optimization and sanitation execution across operations. This role will oversee sanitation supervisors and their teams, ensuring effective CIP performance, equipment efficiency, and cost optimization. They will develop and track KPIs to uncover opportunities for cost savings, faster changeovers, and greater process reliability. By building a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement, this role ensures consistent execution of sanitation processes while partnering closely with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Validation to deliver cross-functional initiatives that enhance productivity and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for sanitation supervisors and their teams.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration within operations.
- Complete performance evaluations of supervised personnel, addressing deficiencies, ensuring proper training, and supporting employee development.
- Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs specific to sanitation and CIP to identify trends, drive cost savings, and optimize process reliability.
- Lead initiatives to improve CIP efficiency, reduce equipment downtime, and enhance changeover performance.
- Conduct root cause investigations and corrective actions related to sanitation or process deviations.
- Champion best practices in sanitation workflows, ensuring consistency and continuous improvement in CIP execution.
- Support capital and process improvement projects with expertise in equipment cleanability and CIP design.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations or Business Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing, with leadership roles in sanitation, operations, or other in process optimization.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively convey information across teams.
- Ability to perform under pressure and within time constraints.
- Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement solutions.
- Continuous improvement mindset, staying current with industry best practices in sanitation and CIP.
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.

Compensation Range: $94,000.00 - $141,000.00, plus bonus.
