Summary

As the Sanitation Supervisor, you will ensure that the Sanitation Department maintains a safe and clean environment and that the team completes all tasks effectively and efficiently. You will follow all applicable GMP and Safety guidelines (including chemical handling) and provide training, mentorship, and corrective action, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and implement sanitation, food safety, and quality policies, including GMPs and SOPs.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to improve and validate safety and sanitation practices.
  • Conduct routine audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and company standards.
  • Ensure continuous audit readiness and support all audits.
  • Optimize sanitation effectiveness, proposing cost-effective cleaning methods.
  • Develop and deliver sanitation training programs in one-on-one and group settings
  • Maintain detailed records of sanitation activities and resolutions.
  • Monitor and maintain CIP system functionality, circuits, and logs.
  • Audit and guide sanitation activities in production and warehouse areas.
  • Maintain sanitation equipment, chemical inventory, and supplies.
  • Validate and document periodic area cleanings as per MSS (Kleanz).
  • Provide frontline leadership, coaching, and development.
  • Complete required training and pursue professional development.
  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling to support department needs.
  • Complete other tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2–5 years food sanitation experience, or in a similar field
  • The successful candidate will an ambitious, tenacious, self-starter that is willing to put the work in required to achieve a goal/task
  • Must have the ability to effectively work and communicate cross functionally and alongside a diverse work force while demonstrating servant style leadership
  • Knowledge of sanitation process, food safety, chemicals, quality control, costs, and other techniques to support sanitation standard processes
  • Knowledge of employee safety, food safety and quality programs (HACCP, SQF)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style to create an engaged, motivated and hard-working team
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office applications and similar business software

Compensation Range: $68,000.00 - $103,000.00, plus bonus.
