Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor's role is to directly supervise and coordinate the daily activities of their team in the warehouse inbound, outbound and case picking process.  

Responsibilities

•    Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and Warehouse sequences to meet Warehouse goals.
•    Inspect materials, products, racking and equipment to prevent safety or inventory issues.
•    Troubleshoot warehouse issues as they arise.
•    Supervise fork truck drivers’ performance to ensure that operators conform to warehouse standards including warehouse safety and cleanliness procedures.
•    Support team by working alongside as needed.
•    Determine warehouse requirements and evaluate current warehouse estimates and outputs by analyzing charts, work orders, shipping schedules, and other records and reports.
•    Follow and maintain all safety and warehouse SOP’s.
•    Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for employees.
•    Lead shift meetings to ensure information is relayed to employees.
•    Set and clearly communicate employee and shift goals, objectives, and expectations to provide documented feedback and conduct performance reviews.
•    Assess training needs, identify gaps, strengths and opportunities for learning and development for team members.
•    Manage employee attendance information and hours worked in HR’s systems.
•    Participate in planning staffing levels, assist with hiring process, and onboard new employees.
•    Complete safety investigations, Intellex safety reports and warehouse reports.
•    Collaborate with supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
•    Collaborate with safety and quality team on employee training to ensure safety, food safety and product quality requirements are followed.
•    Conduct employee training in equipment operations, including Chobani work and safety procedures as well as ergonomics.
•    Partner with continuous improvement leaders to implement Lean principles and practices. 
•    Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • 2+ years of warehouse supervisor experience in a warehousing environment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse processes, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective shipping and receiving operations.
  • Knowledge of employee safety, food safety and quality programs (HAACP, SQF) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style to create an engaged, motivated, and high performing team.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Competency with Microsoft office applications and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of SAP system preferred.
  • Fork truck certification preferred.

Compensation Range: $60,800.00 - $91,200.00, plus bonus.
