Corporate Development Analyst

Summary

The Corporate Development Analyst will play a critical role in helping evaluate and execute internal and external strategic investment opportunities as well as supporting internal financial reporting and analysis. In this role, the Corporate Development Analyst will work closely with a cross functional group across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Heavy focus on financial models - regularly analyzing data and providing risk and opportunity assessments
  • Support the development and maintenance of financial planning and budgeting processes by analyzing and interpreting operating results and trend requirements
    • Support our annual operating plan algorithm development
    • Update our long-term financial model and support long-term business planning & strategy
  • Expedite timely and accurate preparation of various financial reports by analyzing results, ensuring accuracy, and preparing results for senior management with specified recommendations
  • Help in the evaluation and execution of strategic business opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures
  • Participate in due diligence for potential transactions and partnerships
  • Perform industry research and interact with external advisers to assess opportunities for growth within existing businesses or expansion into new areas
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses for potential strategic opportunities or initiatives
  • Support negotiations of transaction terms and legal documentation
  • Performs other duties, as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preference for Economics, Business, Finance or Accounting
  • 2-4 years of finance data analysis with heavy financial modeling experience required in Investment Banking, Transaction Advisory, and/or Private Equity
  • Experience building DCF, M&A, IPO, leverage buyout financial models
  • Prior due diligence experience required, particularly financial due diligence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Exposure to the consumer-packaged goods industry preferred 
  • Experience with leveraging exceptional diplomacy skills to gain consensus while working with internal and external business partners
  • Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and negotiating skills
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization
  • Adaptable and flexible in a complex, changing environment
  • Team player willing to wear multiple hats to get the job done
  • Trustworthy, credible and non-political; high level of integrity and excellent sense of judgment
  • Attention to detail while managing competing priorities and tight timelines
