Summary
Chobani is seeking a visionary Director, Social Media to lead our social media strategy and execution across all platforms. This leader will drive engagement, innovation, and brand loyalty while ensuring our voice remains authentic and aligned with our mission.
This role will also play a critical leadership role in shaping Chobani’s presence in sports and culture, including our long-term partnership with U.S. Soccer, building scalable social ecosystems that connect brand, community, athletes, creators and fans.
Responsibilities
• Define a new approach to Social for Chobani, leveraging user-generated content, creator ecosystems, community participation, and cultural moments, including major platforms like sports and soccer, connected with sampling and consumer passion points
• Develop and implement a holistic social media strategy balancing brand storytelling with measurable ROI-driven tactics to drive growth across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Youtube, etc.)
• Lead the social strategy for Chobani’s biggest cultural platforms and partnerships, including U.S. Soccer and “Feed the Dream,” ensuring always-on storytelling, tentpole moments, athlete/creator integration, and community participation all ladder back to the brand.
• Build a scalable social ecosystem that connects: Brand storytelling; community & fandom; Athletes, creators, and partners; product, purpose, and cultural relevance
• Drive Brand Governance in Social to protect brand reputation while leaning into organic, culturally relevant and community-driven content
• Build a roadmap that combines strategic vision with actionable steps, ensuring Chobani’s social presence, including major platforms like Soccer, drives real business impact
• Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, Creative Partnerships, and Digital teams to ensure cohesive messaging and integrated storytelling across brand, product, and partnerships
• Manage agency relationships and partnerships with creators, influencers, athletes and cultural partners
• Monitor trends, data analytics, and performance metrics to optimize content, campaign effectiveness, and platform strategy
• Present reports and insights to senior leadership including performance of major platforms such as Soccer, making data-driven recommendations
• Champion a culture of testing and learning to continuously refine strategies, formats, and creative approaches
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in social media marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Hands-on approach to Social, with strong daily/weekly operating rhythm and detail orientation
- Proven track record of driving social growth for consumer brands, preferable in CPG, lifestyle, or culturally relevant brands
- Experience leading large cultural platforms, partnerships, or communities (sports, entertainment, creators, or fandom-driven ecosystems strongly preferred)
- Deep expertise in platform-specific strategies for TikTok, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YoutTube, and emerging platforms
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in social listening and analytical tools (e.g. Sprout Social, Brandwatch, Google Analytics)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional influence skills

The salary range for this full-time position is $140,000.00 - $260,000.00, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
