Summary
The Director of Brand Marketing lives and breathes our brand and our consumer and is a critical member of the Daily Harvest leadership team. This seasoned leader is the connective thread in how the Daily Harvest brand shows up across all brand touchpoints, but also in culture and communities for our consumer in the most relevant, breakthrough, and equity-building ways. They oversee how our product and brand story come to life, building strategies that course across organic, owned and paid marketing channels, and developing meaningful brand programs that drive awareness, relevance, and ultimately, profitable sales. This leader will oversee brand marketing including consumer insights, partnerships, events and experiential, customer VIP experiences, and PR, and will partner cross-functionally with Creative, DTC, Growth Marketing, Retail, Data and Innovation. This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in-office in Lower Manhattan required.
Responsibilities
Strategy:
- Consumer Journey: Tie cohesive and strategic threads throughout all points in the consumer journey, with a particular focus on awareness, loyalty and advocacy.
- Lead product storytelling and go-to-market planning for new product and channel launches.
- Consumer insights: Listen deeply to our consumer needs to identify occasions, messages and products that DH can deliver on
- Audience development: Build the DH consumer persona. Identify and launch bespoke comms and programming to strategic audiences focused on distinct areas of wellness
- Keep pulse on the market, including macro trends, competitors and brands that are breaking through across categories that are relevant for our consumer - to inform actions
Brand Expression & Integrated Marketing:
- Campaign development: Partner with the team on campaign strategy and briefing for new products, seasons, and brand moments
- Oversee all brand marketing efforts including:
- Events, experiential, & seeding
- PR and impact-driven thought leadership
- Partnerships - brands, ambassadors & creators
- Content marketing, including organic social media and blogs
- Connective tissue of all of the above to our website and growth marketing channels
- Partner with Content lead to own and execute the integrated marketing calendar, determining key moments and messaging priorities throughout the year, driving alignment across all paid and organic touchpoints
- For all campaigns and brand marketing programs, develop frameworks for goal setting, evaluation and measurement.
Leadership:
- Manage and coach Brand Marketing Associate as well as roster of agency partners across various channels, inspiring and leading them to desired outcomes
- Develop a standardized reporting framework and KPIs for areas you oversee
- Build and manage budgets
- Collaborate closely with Growth Marketing, DTC team and Retail / CPG team to synchroniz brand efforts with performance marketing efforts.
Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience in brand marketing for a consumer products company
- 3+ years of people management experience, overseeing at least one direct report as well as a variety of agencies
- Past ownership of brand marketing campaign development, social media, comms and PR, with proven results
- Demonstrated ability to lead the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels
- Experience leading go-to-market processes, with exceptional ability to implement cross-functionally
- Experience establishing and managing strategic brand partnerships
- Experience developing and implementing organic content strategies
- High agency leader who takes initiative and gets things done
- Comfort with change, fast-paced environment and some level of ambiguity
- Lover of culture and trends, ear to the ground on what’s new, trendy and next. Love for the zeitgeist

Compensation Range: $148,000.00 - $222,000.00, plus bonus.
