Summary

Chobani is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Sampling and Field Marketing to lead our sampling and experiential initiatives to enhance brand visibility and drive trial and relevance. In this pivotal role, you will harness your expertise in consumer marketing, insights, digital experience and brand activation to develop and execute a comprehensive sampling strategy that engages consumers, drives trial, and fosters brand loyalty. You will oversee all aspects of the sampling strategy, from planning to execution, ensuring alignment with our brand values and business objectives and working cross functionally across our marketing, commercial teams as well as managing agencies. 

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development:
    • Create and implement a robust sampling strategy that aligns with marketing goals and enhances brand awareness.
    • Identify target audiences and develop tailored sampling programs to effectively reach and engage consumers.
    • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure that marketing as well as commercial goals are incorporated into planning.
    • Leverage your expertise in marketing to create impactful activations that are aligned with brand strategy and consumer needs. 
  • Program Management:
    • Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of sampling events and promotions, ensuring a seamless consumer experience.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sampling initiatives with broader marketing campaigns.
  • Partnership Development:
    • Build and maintain relationships with retailers, distributors, and event organizers to maximize sampling opportunities.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with external partners to ensure effective program execution.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyze sampling program performance metrics and consumer feedback to assess effectiveness and inform future initiatives.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on sampling activities and outcomes to senior leadership.
    • Develop a test and learn approach to building up sampling and experiential muscle on a national scale. 
  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage an experiential agency and build a team of to activate the brand out in market, providing guidance and support to achieve program objectives.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability within the team.
    • Collaborate with various cross functional groups to ensure we are driving the strategies and achieving goals. 
  • Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage the sampling budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact.
    • Monitor spending and adjust strategies to meet financial targets

Requirements

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, brand management or related roles, with a focus on consumer engagement and sampling. 
  • Proven track record in of developing and executing successful sampling strategies and programs. 
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing trends and social media strategies.
  • Experience in developing and deploying marketing strategies in local markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire teams, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams. 
  • Proficient in budget management, with experience in both traditional and non-traditional marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytic skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decision making. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and equivalent work experience
  • Willingness to travel

Compensation Range: $144,000.00 - $216,000.00, plus bonus
