Summary
The Government Affairs Internship will allow the successful candidate to greatly enhance their real-life professional experiences and utilize modern skillsets within the field(s) they are currently pursuing. It is an outstanding opportunity to get hands-on experience analyzing policy (at the federal, state and local levels), conducting stakeholder engagement, and working with advocacy experts to craft compelling external narratives.
Responsibilities
- Review relevant company-wide data and activities across business functions
- Develop external narratives, initiatives and products aligned with the team’s goals
- Partner and learn from industry experts with a focus on hunger and nutrition among other topics
- Help identify and enhance stakeholder relationships to support our causes
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s program in a related field
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Desire to work in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects against deadlines
- Interest in the consumer-packaged goods or food and beverage industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Tools
- Experience with visual presentation of data would be a plus
- Ability to be on-site in our Manhattan, NY office up to 4 days a week
