Summary

This role champions Chobani’s purpose and values by promoting Chobani’s brand story, launching and sustaining initiatives, and engaging in partnerships to advance Chobani’s impact mission. It is a high-visibility role both internal and external to the company. This position is responsible for building relationships and connecting Chobani with key partners in the impact space that further one or more of Chobani’s impact pillars. The individual will also be responsible for amplifying impact-based and purpose-focused messages at events, engagements, and speaking opportunities (both internal and external). The successful candidate will have exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills and will be a leader in promoting Chobani’s community-oriented culture. The successful candidate is flexible, proactive, and engaged.  

Responsibilities

Impact Initiatives:

  • Design and oversee programs, initiatives, and volunteering opportunities that align with the company's Better Food For More People mission, ensuring they maximize long-term sustainable growth and community benefit
  • Establish and monitor key metrics to measure the company's impact, and communicate progress through transparent, data-driven reporting
  • Lead Chobani’s impact strategy for donating product, deploying volunteers, and committing funding to support its communities 
  • Partner with internal stakeholders including plant leadership to create and promote opportunities for employee participation in community impact initiatives
  • Work with Chobani’s ex-US teams including Australia and Mexico to ensure impact strategy alignment and mutual progress against shared goals
  • Collaborate with NPD and marketing teams to identify, grow, and sustain partnerships for impact batch products as well as new-product opportunities to advance Chobani’s impact goals, such as Super Milk
  • Implement the company's overall impact strategy, aligning business operations with social and community impact goals in a manner that drives meaningful outcomes and lasting change

 

Communication and Brand Ambassadorship:

  • Collaborate with Internal Communications team to energize Chobani culture and company community, and amplify connectivity between employees, the company, and the community
  • Represent Chobani as brand ambassador, by participating in and speaking at community events and conferences, making media appearances, and engaging in other public-facing opportunities to promote Chobani’s community and other impact initiatives
  • Attend major events with Chobani leadership to build and cultivate relationships and follow-up on potential partnership opportunities

 

Partnerships:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with retailer partners, nonprofits, and other stakeholders to support community-focused initiatives
  • Collaborate with partners to co-create opportunities of coalition building that advance Chobani’s zero hunger strategy
  • Execute a framework that tracks the effectiveness of partnerships by setting clear impact metrics and regularly reports on outcomes, ensuring transparency and accountability
  • Manage, sustain, and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and partners, internally and externally  

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in community development, health, wellness, communications, or program coordination
  • MBA or JD preferred 
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and MAC environments and good working knowledge of applications in those systems
  • Forward thinking with the ability to recommend, influence and implement organizational change and continuous innovation
  • Creative and entrepreneurial; eager to think outside the box and design non-traditional approaches to problems; problem-solver who feels unrestrained by usual processes, procedures, or pathways for achieving certain outcomes
