People Tech & Operations Intern

Summary

The People Tech & Ops Intern will support the People Tech & Operations team by driving process improvements, automation, and user experience enhancements within the People Technology space. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn about HR technology, data management, and operational best practices. Over the internship, the intern will collaborate on focus groups, proof-of-concept projects, user guidance initiatives, permissions restructuring, reporting clean-up, and AI agent use cases. The intern will gain hands-on experience in People Operations, cross-functional teamwork, and digital transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct small focus groups with the internal People Team to identify pain points and automation opportunities. Develop a Proof-of-Concept project to address identified problems
  • Explore and identify use cases for AI agents, build AI agents within Co-Pilot
  • Work with the People Tech & Operations team to restructure Role-Based Permissions (RBP) to ensure proper access control. Define and implement Segregation of Duties (SoD) roles to prevent conflicts of interest
  • Build out a Data Dictionary for key fields within People Technology. Build a Responsibility Assignment Matrix (like a RACI chart) to define roles and responsibilities for specific fields
  • Create an inventory of Scheduled and Periodic People Data and Audit Reporting in HRIS, analyze utilization and recommend approach to clean-up, create a survey for report recipients to determine relevance/current needs and remove outdated reports from the system
  • Partner with the People Tech & Operations team to create self-service documentation and automated guidance within the system

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program in Human Resources, Information Technology or a related field
  • Interest in HR systems and process improvements, and automation
  • Excellent communication skills for conducting user research and translating findings into actionable solutions
  • Technology-oriented mindset with strong knowledge of MS Office tools like Excel
  • Passionate about using Generative AI applications like Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.
  • Prior experience with creating AI Agents is a huge plus
  • Comfortable working with data and creating documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team focus, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Effectively prioritize and execute tasks conforming to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Must display a passion for the Chobani brand
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and be an enthusiastic team player
