Summary

Daily Harvest is seeking a highly strategic and results-driven Manager, Strategic Sourcing to lead ingredient procurement strategy and execution across key raw material categories. This role will serve as a critical business partner across Operations, Supply Chain, R&D, Finance, Quality, and Manufacturing, driving sourcing decisions that support growth, profitability, product innovation, and supply continuity.

The Manager will own supplier strategy and category management for dry and refrigerated ingredients, leading competitive sourcing initiatives, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and developing long-term supplier partnerships that deliver value beyond cost. This individual will be responsible for identifying opportunities to optimize spend, mitigate supply risk, improve supplier performance, and advance sustainability objectives while ensuring uninterrupted supply to support production and customer demand.

As a key leader within the Procurement organization, this person will influence cross-functional planning processes, support new product commercialization efforts, and provide market intelligence that informs business decisions. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, supplier relationship management, and execution excellence in a fast-paced food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods environment.

Responsibilities

Own strategy and execution for sourcing dry and refrigerated ingredient categories, managing risk, cost, and continuity 

Negotiate supplier contracts and lead competitive bid processes to secure optimal pricing and terms 

Manage supplier forecasting and performance, issuing regular projections, reviewing scorecards, and resolving issues 

Collaborate with Culinary, FSQA, and Commercialization teams to onboard new ingredients and ensure scalability 

Partner with the Sr. Category Manager to set budgets, monitor trends, and drive cost savings initiatives 

Serve as the main point of contact with co-manufacturing partners for ingredient availability and escalation 

Support cross-functional alignment with Finance, Operations, and Inventory Planning to drive timely and accurate decision-making 

Champion sourcing strategies that prioritize sustainable, equitable, and mission-aligned practices (e.g., Fair Trade, BIPOC, Organic transitions) 
Contribute to supplier strategy and category management frameworks that support long-term growth and resilience 

Mentor and coach junior sourcing team members where applicable

Requirements

5+ years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management experience.Experience sourcing agricultural commodities, ingredients, food, beverage, dairy, frozen, refrigerated, or broader CPG categories.Demonstrated success leading supplier negotiations, long-term agreements, and complex sourcing events.Strong understanding of supply chain, manufacturing, inventory planning, and operations.Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions and levels of the organization.Proven ability to manage competing priorities and make sound commercial decisions in a dynamic environment.Experience with ERP systems, procurement tools, and spend analysis platforms.Emerging people leader with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing talent

The salary range for this full-time position is $105,500.00 - $166,100.00, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
