Summary
Chobani Information Technology is seeking a Warehouse Management System (WMS) Functional Lead. The Warehouse Management System (WMS) Functional Lead is a key member of Chobani’s Enterprise Applications organization and is responsible for the functional ownership, roadmap, and delivery of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) capabilities across Chobani manufacturing plants and warehouse facilities.
This role serves as the primary product owner for SAP WM, partnering closely with warehouse operations, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and logistics teams to understand business needs, pain points, and future capabilities. The WMS Product Manager translates those needs into a clear product roadmap, functional designs, and delivered solutions that improve operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, compliance, and cost effectiveness.
Additionally, This role serves as the primary product owner for SAP WM and its integration with warehouse execution and automation technologies, including Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), and Laser Guided / Automated Guided Vehicles (LGV/AGV). The role partners closely with warehouse operations, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, engineering, automation vendors, and systems integrators to deliver reliable, scalable, and highly automated warehouse solutions.
The role is primarily a functional lead position with hands-on system responsibilities and is expected to prototype solutions in non-production environments, demonstrate functionality to business users, support production operations, and manage the promotion of approved solutions into production in partnership with SAP technical teams.
Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Roadmap
- Own the SAP WM product roadmap, aligning warehouse and manufacturing capabilities with Chobani’s broader SAP S/4HANA and Supply Chain strategy.
- Partner with warehouse, manufacturing, and supply chain stakeholders to understand operational needs, pain points, and future-state requirements.
- Translate business needs into prioritized backlog items, clearly articulating business value, dependencies, and outcomes.
- Balance run, grow, and transform work across production support, enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
Functional Leadership & Solution Design
- Act as the functional lead for SAP WM, providing deep expertise in inbound, outbound, inventory management, material movements, and warehouse execution processes.
- Design, configure, and prototype SAP WM solutions in non-production environments to validate requirements and demonstrate capabilities to end users.
- Lead functional solutioning across WM process areas, including integration with MM, PP, QM, SD, and Finance.
- Partner with SAP Functional Analysts, Developers, Basis, and Integration teams to ensure solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Lead functional design for SAP WM integration with Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), AS/RS, conveyors, sortation systems, and LGV/AGV solutions.
- Partner with internal engineering teams and external automation vendors to define interface requirements, message flows, error handling, and operational monitoring models.
- Design, configure, and prototype SAP WM solutions in non-production environments, including automation-integrated scenarios, to validate requirements and demonstrate functionality to end users and operations leadership.
- Ensure WM solutions are designed for scalability, resiliency, and operational continuity in highly automated environments.
Delivery & Execution
- Develop business cases, ROI analysis, and value realization models for WM initiatives.
- Scope work efforts, including t-shirt sizing, time-to-deliver estimates, resource requirements, and dependency identification.
- Support initiative execution across the full delivery lifecycle: requirements, design, build, testing, cutover, and hypercare.
- Coordinate and support user acceptance testing (UAT), including test scenario development and execution.
Production Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide functional production support for SAP WM, including issue triage, root cause analysis, and resolution.
- Partner with support teams to ensure system stability, performance, and data integrity across warehouse operations.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities through analysis of operational metrics, user feedback, and system performance.
- Ensure approved prototype solutions are properly transitioned to production following Chobani change and release processes.
Stakeholder Communication & Change Management
- Serve as a trusted partner to warehouse and manufacturing leadership, communicating roadmap status, delivery progress, and system impacts.
- Support organizational change management by preparing users for new or enhanced WM capabilities through demos, training, and documentation.
- Clearly communicate technical and functional concepts to non-technical audiences.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience supporting warehouse management, manufacturing, or supply chain processes in an IT or ERP functional role.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Warehouse Management (WM), including configuration, testing, and production support.
- Design and configure interfaces for RF/mobile and automated systems, including but not limited to Material Flow Systems (MFS) and robotics.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with business users to elicit requirements and deliver functional solutions.
- Experience developing business cases, ROI models, and delivery estimates for IT initiatives.
- Strong understanding of WM integration with MM, PP, QM, SD, and Finance.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting SAP WM in manufacturing and plant-adjacent warehouse environments.
- Experience working in food & beverage, dairy, CPG, or regulated manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA environments and SAP release management practices.
- Experience with warehouse automation, RF devices, labeling, and material handling processes.
- Prior experience in a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Business Process Integration role.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted warehouse operations and integrating different types of robot fleets through SAP Warehouse Robotics
Travel
- Ability to travel up to 30–50% to Chobani manufacturing plants and warehouse locations as needed.

The salary range for this full-time position is $130,500.00 - $243,500.00, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
