Production Lead (12H Nights)

Summary
The Production Team Lead will be responsible for the overall manufacturing process in their assigned area as well as monitoring of product quality and output yields for their line. The Lead will assist the Production Supervisor in the ongoing training and development and accountability of all team members. The Lead sets the example for the line employees and supports the Supervisor with cultivating the workforce.
Schedule: 2-2-3, 12-hour Rotation; 5:00pm-5:30am
Responsibilities
- Ensuring there is adequate employee coverage and informing the Supervisor of any employee absences during the shift
- Ensuring that all required paperwork is present during the shift and is being completed and used according to appropriate company standards
- Complete competence and understanding of product specification sheets and ensures that all products meet product specifications
- Directs and assigns work to employees within their specific area/line as needed to reach production goals
- Leads, guides, motivates and communicates to line employees professionally and competently
- Holds employees accountable for attendance, performance, productivity and teamwork. Ensures that the quality of the product is maintained throughout the entire process
- Notifies Supervisor/Maintenance of any equipment malfunctions or problems that are impeding production
- Notifies supervisor of any employee relation complaints
- Ensures that all safety related concerns are communicated and addressed
- Ensures all employees are operating equipment according to procedures
- Ensures employees are following safety measures required for job requirements
- Collects and reviews all documentation at shift end to ensure processes were followed
- Keeps area clean and organized at all times
- Ensures all employees are following GMPs
- Reports any food safety and/or quality concerns to the Supervisor
- Communicates any performance concerns to the Supervisor
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent; and 2 years related manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Able to work on feet for 12 hours and/or the duration of scheduled shift
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Ability to bend, reach, twist, push, pull
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to learn functionality of process equipment
- Must be able to multi-task
- 2 years related manufacturing experience

Compensation Range: $25.50 - $33.50, plus bonus.
