Summary

Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Drivers will assist in transporting and handling materials between La Colombe’s local facilities, interstate partners and La Colombe Cafes in Philadelphia, Washington DC and New York City. The Ideal candidate is an experienced box truck driver with an active CDL Class B license and forklift experience. Working with our Shipping and Receiving team, Drivers will also help pick and ship orders, load, and unload products, and replenish pick locations as needed.

Schedule: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Responsibilities

•    Safely operate a 26ft box truck while remaining compliant with DOT regulations.
•    Load and unload products safely and efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, and occasionally by hand.
•    Make one or more deliveries in DC, NYC and two or more deliveries in Philadelphia on a weekly basis (delivery frequency and scheduling subject to change as required by business needs). 
•    Stock and stage delivered product as specified by Cafe Managers, District Managers and Warehouse Ops Manager.
•    Deliver all products in a timely manner, communicating changes in delivery schedule to all parties as needed. 
•    Ensure deliveries are accurate by verifying invoices and picklists.
•    Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in accordance with local weather and road conditions.
•    Comply with all guidelines set forth by the FMCSA, State, and local commercial vehicle regulations, as well as the Chobani driver safety policy. 
•    Thoroughly inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure safety and proper maintenance.
•    Assist fulfillment teams with picking and shipping orders, replenishing pick locations, and loading/unloading products.
•    Operate a forklift (Stand-Up and Sit-Down) and pallet jack (electric and manual) for material handling purposes.
•    Utilize effective communication to keep the team up to date on setbacks, changes in delivery times, or cargo damage.
•    Offer flexibility in scheduling as needed (may occasionally be required to work evenings, weekends, and mandatory overtime).
•    Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Required Education, Experience and Skills:
•    2-3+ years of experience operating a 26ft box truck, preferably in a metropolitan area. 
•    Must have a clean driving record.
•    Must possess a valid DOT card with a CDL Class B License.
•    Must have experience using forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
•    Prior experience as a Direct Store Delivery Driver preferred.
Physical Requirements:
•    Ability to reach above shoulder level, climb, balance, kneel, bend over, etc.
•    Ability to use hands and fingers to assemble small objects, boxes, etc.
•    Be physically active for 8 hours without becoming fatigued or out of breath.
•    Stand for 8+ hours a day.
•    Frequently lift and or move 40+ pounds
•    Occasionally lift and or move 75+ pounds
•    Frequently push 300-400 lbs. on a rolling cart, sometimes at an incline.

Compensation Range: $27.75 - $37.25, plus bonus.
