Summary
The Routing Strategy & Optimization Analyst will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing field routes for Chobani’s retail team. This role is critical to ensuring our expanding retail team spends time in the right stores, at the right cadence, to maximize sales growth, operational efficiency, and field execution effectiveness. This individual will serve as the organization’s routing SME—owning the development of optimized routes, partnering closely with Retail Field Leadership and CBU partners, and supporting the transition into our future enterprise routing technologies.
Responsibilities
Route Design, Optimization & Maintenance
• Build, construct, and optimize retail routes that enable the field team to drive maximum sales, coverage, and execution.
• Evaluate existing routes using data, insights, and performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, coverage, and sales growth.
• Collaborate with Field Managers and Field Directors to gather feedback, validate route assumptions, and ensure routes are practical and executable.
• Develop and manage a streamlined route intake and update process for the field, ensuring all routing changes are evaluated consistently and prioritized effectively.
• Partner with Retail Execution teams to implement route updates within our systems and ensure a clean handoff to field reps.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with CBU teams (Sales, Category Management, Field Operations) to ensure routes align with customer strategies, priority lists, coverage models, and sales objectives.
• Integrate shifting business priorities—promotions, distribution changes, customer expectations—into ongoing route optimization strategies.
• Provide location and coverage insights to support customer sell-in conversations and internal strategic planning.
Technology Integration & Future-State Capability Development
• Lead configuration and ongoing management of new technology solutions to support store visit planning, route optimization, and rep scheduling (2026+).
• Build and maintain route maps aligned to Sales, Category Management, and Field Operations priorities.
• Monitor field rep adherence to routing strategies to ensure adherence to visit cadence, optimized routing, and visibility into time-in-store metrics.
• Translate retail execution strategies into routing rules (cadence logic, priority stores, coverage frequency).
• Own training, documentation, and ongoing support for field reps and leaders using mapping and routing tools.
• Serve as the business owner and subject matter expert for future routing systems, ensuring tools evolve with the needs of the retail team.
Analytics, Insights & Performance
• Provide actionable insights on coverage, route efficiency, store prioritization, and time-in-store metrics.
• Identify opportunities to rebalance staffing, redistribute coverage, and recommend long-term territory optimization strategies.
• Build dashboards, trackers, and reporting to provide visibility into route changes, route performance, and field utilization.
Success Criteria
• Routes become more efficient, predictable, and aligned to customer strategies.
• Field managers report improved clarity, consistency, and productivity from reps.
• Route changes are handled through a clear, streamlined intake process.
• Salesforce Maps is configured, adopted, and maintained successfully.
• The organization has a single point of truth and a dedicated owner for routing as the retail team scales.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree or years of experience in combination with education. 3+ years’ experience in retail operations, field sales, supply chain, analytics, or related function.
• Experience with routing, territory planning, Salesforce Maps, GIS tools, or trade area analysis preferred (or strong interest in learning).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and change-management skills; able to influence and align cross-functional partners.
• High attention to detail, systems mindset, and ability to manage multiple concurrent routing requests.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and building new processes from scratch.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation Range: $59,000.00 - $74,000.00, plus bonus.
