Summary
The AMP Maintenance Tech focuses on supporting all AMP & R&D product platforms. The daily duties of the AMP Tech include maintaining various processing equipment, ordering parts through vendors/suppliers, updating SAP as necessary, record keeping of parts & equipment & Preventative maintenance along with other duties as necessary. This role has a responsibility for ensuring both food safety and quality of Chobani product.
Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance will be the technician’s main responsibility in this role.
- Trouble-shoot mechanical and electrical process equipment up to the point of necessary manufacturer calibration/rebuild/refurbish and vibration repair, such as-Tuchenhagen control top valves. Rebuild mix proof valves and single valves. Rebuild centrifugal, twin screw, Quadro & SPX pumps. Work on GEA Separators & Clarifiers (Complete tear down). Perform Microthermics repairs, tear downs, stator replacements of the supply and extraction pumps. Perform HTST & Microthermics Homogenizer, Inline HTST Homogenizer, Dekanter, Water baths, Maturation Tanks, and Dishwasher. All others not listed in AMP 1 & AMP 2.
- Assist with commissioning new equipment as it arrives and decommission equipment as it is no longer needed.
- Support preventative maintenance on all AMP 1 & AMP 2 processing, Lab & CIP equipment. Follow the plant procedures for required maintenance on all pilot processing equipment and machinery for safety, quality, or environmental concerns.
- Maintain product cup sealers as necessary.
- Complete Chobani procedures to create, maintain and provide accurate records on all performed & completed work.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with the maintenance and like departments.
- Support the Olympus building 3rd floor, AMP 1 & AMP 2 work requests.
- Support the AMP 1 dry storage area with idle equipment as necessary.
- Support assembling tools, carts and incoming equipment if necessary.
- Be an active participant in equipment designs of experiments with AMP technicians and R&D scientists.
- Continuously work on all assigned goals and individual projects.
- Practice discretion with confidential and proprietary projects and product development.
- Maintain a clean work environment, follow Safety, GMP, PPE’s, SOP’s, LOTO, fall prevention, allergen and all other required procedures & training.
- Assist ISDA & AMP with HTST Short/Long Timings.
- Assist with correcting Internal/External Audits environmental findings.
- Complete Safety & Quality monthly training & quizzes.
- Complete additional work assigned, including special projects.
- Be an active participant in continuous learning. (Maintenance & AMP equipment) Become the SME.
- Work with all Chobani programs as necessary. (SAP, Smart Sheet, Excel, Word & others).
- As maintenance projects become slow, this role will learn how to operate processing equipment to help keep projects and trials moving in a forward direction.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of related experience required
- Associates degree, Technical School Certificate or Military training in one of the following fields: electrical or electronics systems, industrial controls, or manufacturing Systems/Mechanical Systems
- Ability to use hand tools and knowledge of associated safety procedures
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
- Mechanical proficiency, problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work with vendors, contractors, and company employees
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders preferred
- Completion of an Industrial Maintenance vocational or technical school program
- Experience with Wastewater Treatment equipment

Compensation Range: $27.75 - $37.25, plus bonus.
