Summary
This job description is to outline the daily operations, responsibilities, general tasks, and functions of the Lift Truck Operator (LTO) in the Dry Warehouse.
Operations include the following: Receiving, unloading production materials, labeling, and racking material. Cycle counting inventory, reporting discrepancies and damages. Transporting of materials to support production operations, including recycling material. Operate battery exchanger in support of the FTO’s on site.
Must be able to use multiple types of lifting equipment, including stand up, reach, double jack, order picker, and battery exchanger.
Must be safety and quality oriented, follow department and plant GMPs, wear proper PPE, and practice good housekeeping. Be able to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Work as a team and independently, by maintaining good communication with other Team Members, Shift Leads, Shift Supervisor, and Manager. Flexible to changing schedules and additional hours as needed; be able to work on multiple tasks during the shift.
Responsibilities
- Observe all safety rules and regulations as put forth by Chobani.
- Operate all industrial powered vehicles required for assigned area safely and efficiently.
- Properly store all dry goods in proper locations to avoid cross contamination and in proper rotation with all required information present on each item (Lot #, inventory count, allergen sticker, etc.).
- Maintain First in First out guidelines (FIFO) on all stored dry goods.
- Keep well maintained, legible documents and have them turned into the office in a timely manner.
- Maintain a strong focus on Safety, Quality and Efficiencies.
- Properly inspect and receive inbound loads in a safe, sanitary, and timely manner.
- Fill out all necessary paperwork accurately, legibly, correctly for each load.
- Fulfill orders of Dry Goods to production throughout the plant in a safe, sanitary, and timely manner. Follow First-In-First-Out (FIFO) order process and documentation, reporting any variance.
- Change and maintain batteries, and associated equipment, safe, sanitary, and timely manner.
- Must keep equipment in good working order and use lock out tag out procedures for non-operation equipment when needed.
- Keep all works areas clean and organized following the 6S guidelines.
- Be involved in implementing solutions and ideas in the department.
- Assist other Departments, Team Members, Office Clerk, Inventory Lead, and Supervisor.
- Work with other departments to create and maintain a “collaborative” environment.
- Other duties as assigned by the Shift Lead, Supervisor, and Manager
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate paperwork
- Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours
- Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 60 pounds
- Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance

Compensation Range: $20.50 - $27.00, plus bonus.
