Summary

Chobani is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our exceptional team in Twin Falls, ID. As a Maintenance Technician at Chobani, you will have a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our sophisticated plant equipment by performing preventative maintenance on various plant equipment, such as: filling machines, metal detectors, case formers, packers, sealers, pasteurizers, motors and pumps and conveying machines. This is an outstanding chance to create a significant contribution to the production of top-quality food that is distributed to millions of individuals nationwide.

To be successful in this role you should have tangible experience in troubleshooting mechanical/ electrical breakdowns in manufacturing production equipment. Technicians must follow all established safety, GMP`s and environmental standards and adhere to all plant technical standards. Technicians must also follow all federal, state, local and company regulations including OSHA, FDA, EPA and SQF.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting: rapidly assess, analyze, and resolve complicated problems with little initial information or direction
  • Track hours associated with breakdowns, preventative maintenance (PM), and work orders
  • Respond to maintenance calls and work orders promptly and ensuring all work meets or exceeds standards.
  • Serve as a technical resource, providing guidance and assistance to operations personnel by identifying/ solving issues and implementing continuous improvement and reliability opportunities
  • Follow Chobani's safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices

Requirements

  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and Maintenance manuals.
  • Knowledge of the following systems: Pumps, Mechanical Drives, Lubrication, Fasteners, Piping, Proper Tool Use, Motors, Pneumatics, Sensors, Proximity Switches, Automatic Valves and other basic mechanical systems and processes
  • 2+ years of experience in diagnosing/repairing issues in a food production/manufacturing environment. Previous dairy and/or food and beverage experience preferred
  • Knowledge of work orders and CMMS /SAP systems in web-based computer applications.

Compensation Range: $26.75 - $36.25, plus bonus.
