Summary
The Production Planner is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining the finite production schedule to support daily plant operations. This role partners closely with Operations, Materials Planning, Supply Planning, Procurement, R&D, and other cross-functional teams to ensure an accurate, feasible, and attainable production plan in a fast-paced, highly dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, scheduling discipline, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
This is an onsite role based at our Twin Falls, Idaho manufacturing facility and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Own the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the finite production schedule.
- Develop and adjust production schedules to maximize line efficiency, validation time, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) while protecting customer service levels.
- Partner with Operations and Materials Planning teams to ensure schedules are feasible, clear-to-build, and aligned to plant capabilities.
- Coordinate with Supply Planning to prioritize urgent customer demand, inventory needs, and business priorities.
- Monitor plant attainment KPIs and investigate schedule misses or production disruptions to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
- Support planning master data accuracy, including rates, capacities, changeover assumptions, and other key metrics that influence schedule performance.
- Collaborate with Procurement, R&D, and other stakeholders to incorporate trials, material constraints, and business changes into the production schedule.
- Communicate schedule changes clearly and proactively to cross-functional teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, tools, and scheduling accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- In lieu of a degree, equivalent relevant work experience in production planning, supply chain planning, scheduling, materials planning, or related functions will be considered.
- 1–3 years of experience in CPG, food manufacturing, or supply chain planning preferred.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, formatting, and data analysis.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Professional presence with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement process enhancements

The salary range for this full-time position is $51,000.00 - $80,300.00, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
