Summary

As a KDB Operator (Quark Separator Operator) you will be working directly under the supervision of the KDB lead. You’ll train with your peers and be assigned various tasks to keep operations running without interruptions. You’ll be proactive in making sure our different white mass types are supplied downstream as efficiently as possible. This means you’ll be checking for waste and working in close collaboration with other departments to make this achievable. From the time a maturation tank is filled, to the time the tank is emptied and washed, you’ll perform tasks that will transform that skim milk into the desired white mass type.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring the operating parameters of the quark separators and reporting any deviations to the lead.
  • Comply with all safety and Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures when performing minor equipment teardown and reassembly for inspection.
  • Perform routine calibration of laboratory equipment and titration of solutions used during shift.
  • Verify that all setpoints and Key performance Indicators (KPIs) are met during normal operations and record results following Good Documentation Practice (GDP)
  • Must be consistent in communicating with other departments by phone, radio, and teams to make sure startup, changeover, and CIP targets are achieved.
  • Must be able to stand and walk extended periods to pull samples from maturation tanks, KDB hoppers, and to keep the production floor audit ready.
  • Must become familiar with processing software and possess basic troubleshooting skills to cover lead’s breaks and/or vacations.
  • Must be able to interpret CIP charts in historian and signoff washes upon completion.

The salary range for this full-time position is $25.50 - $33.50, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
