Summary
The Security Officer supports the safety and security of Chobani employees, visitors, contractors, facilities, and property. This position is also responsible for following established food safety and quality requirements while performing assigned security duties.
Responsibilities
- Verify identification for employees, temporary workers, contractors, and visitors; maintain visitor badging records, NDAs, and GMP forms; notify appropriate personnel of arrivals and food deliveries.
- Create new or replacement employees, temporary workers, and contractor identification badges; update badge access and employee profiles in Genetec; and issue parking permits.
- Monitor employee parking areas for safety concerns, including snow and ice conditions requiring removal or treatment.
- Monitor surveillance cameras, conduct video reviews, and prepare detailed reports regarding incidents, accidents, thefts, tanker spills, and security breaches.
- Respond to plant incidents when no other Security Officer or Safety team member is available and assist with incident command during fire alarms.
- Escort terminated employees as required.
- Verify identification for incoming contractors, issue required parking tags, and monitor vehicle traffic for parking compliance.
- Escort emergency vehicles arriving and respond to calls for service in the parking lot or plant.
- Conduct exterior perimeter checks of the plant and property by security vehicle or foot patrol; monitor surveillance cameras and perform video reviews.
- Complete required online training, follow Chobani safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Demonstrates a positive, professional, and service-oriented approach when interacting with employees, visitors, contractors, and business partners and Maintains a high standard of professionalism when representing Chobani and the Security team.
- Demonstrates honesty, integrity, sound judgment, and accountability in all work-related interactions.
- Uses effective verbal de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations professionally, calmly, and respectfully.
- Communicates clearly, calmly, and professionally using a handheld radio, including during emergency situations.
- Obtain certification in First Aid/CPR/AED during the first year (Training provided by security)
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; conduct routine foot patrols throughout a large manufacturing facility, parking areas, and exterior grounds; climb stairs; and occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to respond promptly to emergencies and safely navigate indoor and outdoor areas in varying weather conditions.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require. Providing backup coverage during the absence of another Security Officer.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
- Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Adobe applications.
- Must be able to lift to 30 pounds

The salary range for this full-time position is $22.25 - $28.75, + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
