Summary
The position will be responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of a world class controls Ethernet network. This position requires a motivated, customer focused individual with a wide array of programming and controls engineering skills. The individual also must be a highly effective troubleshooter as they will be the highest level of in-house support. Further, this position will require people who are highly successful at working as part of a team. It will be necessary for them to partner with internal and external resources to be successful.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and administer the plant controls Ethernet network.
 - Engineer and implement in-house, or work with a third party to produce reliable automation solutions to meet the needs of the business. Activities include but are not limited to
 - Electrical panel design, Device selection, Flow Charts, Project Schedules, Scope of work, Cost estimates.
 - Provide maintenance break/fix support for automation related issues.
 - Serve as automation and controls subject matter expert on local project teams.
 - Serve as a high-level technical support resource for complex automation and electrical issues.
 - Produce energy and production reports using Wonderware historian, ICIS energy management, and ICIS Plant Performance, etc.
 - Administer and maintain all associated plant databases.
 - Maintain all Automation related programs and documentation including PLC programs, HMI programs, electrical ladder diagrams, P&IDs, pin charts, sequence of operations, etc.
 - Maintain all automation programming software for the facility such as Rockwell Software, Wonderware, ICIS, Ignition, Network Management, etc.
 - Work with AEI Manager to produce best practices for the NY location and for the rest of Chobani.
 - Assist with other plant or department members in developing and championing programs and projects as required
 - Work with IT to build a bridge from plant floor data to the ERP system.
 - Continually seek out best practices and share with the organization.
 - Share of general knowledge within facility and organizational peer groups.
 
Requirements
- 5+ yrs. working as automation engineer.
 - Electrical Engineering degree and/or 10+ years of experience preferred.
 - Advanced knowledge of PLC system design/programming specifically focused on Allen Bradley PAC and PLC.
 - Advanced knowledge of HMI systems focused on Rockwell Factory Talk View ME/SE, Ignition and Wonderware Intouch.
 - Advanced knowledge of industrial historians focused primarily on Wonderware Historian.
 - Ability to create and present reports using SEEQ, ICIS energy management, and ICIS Plant Performance.
 - Advanced knowledge of Ethernet networks with a strong emphasis on Hirschman hardware and software such as Industrial HiVision.
 - Advanced electrical control design capabilities.
 - Broad knowledge of automation and electrical devices and equipment.
 - Intermediate knowledge of personal computers and windows operating systems.
 - Intermediate knowledge of working with virtual machines.
 - Intermediate knowledge of MSSQL and Microsoft Access.
 - Ability to connect to and interact with OPC interfaces.
 - Ability to produce electrical diagrams, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, using AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio.
 - Ability to effectively cooperate with personnel of different backgrounds and skill level
 - Ability to train and transfer knowledge to others
 - Strong ability to create and maintain relevant documentation.
 - Strong ability to manage multiple tasks given time constraints and ensure tasks are executed completely

Compensation Range: $95,000.00 - $142,000.00, plus bonus.
