Summary

As a Process Engineering Intern, you will get hands-on experience on our plant floor and manufacturing facility in the areas of troubleshooting techniques and engineering design. You will get to work on one or more projects, such as optimization, fluid processing, mechanical or capital projects. Through this internship, you will have the opportunity to greatly enhance your real-life experiences and learn modern skill sets within your field of study.  

This is an on-site full-time (40 hours/week), paid internship that runs approximately 9 weeks (June-August) at our New Berlin/South Edmeston, NY manufacturing facility. 
 
Eligible for subsidized housing & travel stipend. Additionally, as a student associate there will be activities and events intended to help you grow your network, develop your professional skills, and immerse yourself in our company culture. 

Responsibilities

  • Supporting our Engineering team with capital projects and capital improvement plans
  • Updating and modifying various drawings, including P&IDs and Process Flow Diagrams
  • Collaborating with onsite teams on optimization projects and engineering studies
  • Troubleshooting production issues with process systems
  • Learning how to size process systems and specify equipment such as pumps and valves
  • Writing scope documents and process descriptions
  • Presenting findings, project status/updates or recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Working on other engineering tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Be in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in the field of Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
  • Having completed a minimum of two years of major-specific classes is highly preferred
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and build trusting relationships with others
  • Ability to complete deliverables within established timeframes and guidelines

Compensation Range: $26.00 - $33.00, plus bonus.
